About Heirloom Kitchen Gardens

Kitchen Garden Design & Coaching in Wisconsin
Hi, I’m Vera!
I started Heirloom Kitchen Gardens out of a lifelong love of growing food and helping others find confidence in the garden. Gardening has been part of my story since childhood — from backyard veggies with my family to herbs and greens in every space I’ve lived. Watching a seed grow into food you harvest and share is one of life’s greatest joys, and I want everyone to experience that.

Many people want to grow their own vegetables but feel overwhelmed or unsure where to begin. After years of learning, becoming a Master Gardener, and growing my own thriving gardens, I’m here to guide you every step of the way — whether you’re just starting or growing a garden you already love.

I believe a garden is more than plants — it’s a place for families to connect, kids to learn, and communities to flourish. At Heirloom Kitchen Gardens, I help you create productive, beautiful kitchen gardens that fit your life and goals. Let’s grow something amazing together!

What is Heirloom Kitchen Gardens?
Heirloom Kitchen Gardens helps you bring your garden dreams to life. I believe growing your own food should feel simple, rewarding, and joyful (even if it’s not always effortless!). Whether you’re starting from scratch or improving what you already have, I’ll guide you every step of the way.

Why "Heirloom"?
A kitchen garden (or potager) is a space near the home dedicated to growing edible and medicinal plants. I love helping families create gardens that are not only productive, but also beautiful, functional, and tailored to your goals—whether that’s raised beds, a backyard oasis, or a patio garden.
Big Dreams, Big Gardens
I dream of a world where anyone who wants to grow food can—no matter their space, budget, or experience. Gardening reduces waste, eases stress, and brings deep joy and connection to nature.
